Can I contribute to this website?

Yes, if you are family or friend, you may submit your news items, photos, etc.  We will, of course, reserve the right to refuse to post any item that is deemed inappropriate based on content, language, etc.  This is a family website and must be able to be viewed by children of all ages as well as adults.

How do I submit my news article or photo ?

You can submit your news article either by e-mail or snail mail.  E-mail is preferable because it is faster, but snail mail is just as acceptable.  E-mail your article or digital photo to either Sherri or Myra @ rooneytimes.com.  If you don't have a digital camera or a scanner you are welcome to snail mail your photos to us and we will scan and return them to you.  Be sure to include your return address.  E-mail one of us for the postal address.

Where can I find your email address ?

Our email addresses are in graphic form in the left column of every page.  The webmaster address is simply webmaster at rooneytimes dot com.

Why doesn't a page I clicked on come up ?

This could be a problem with the server.  Try again or wait a bit and then retry.  The other answer is that we may have set up the link but haven't got the page and content up.  If you think there is a problem with the website please do email the webmaster of the rooneytimes dot com

Who is the webmaster ?

Sherri and Myra Rooney are both masters of this website; however email directed to webmaster @ the rooney times dot com will fall into Sherri's mailbox, so if you desire it to go to Myra please note that in the subject line.

What is the purpose in spelling out email addresses ?

Email addresses are spelled out or in graphic form to prevent spammers from collecting our email addresses electronically.  This method keeps our mailboxes clear of a lot of spam.  It means you have to type in the email address instead of clicking on a link and we regret that, but spammers have made it so we all have to do what we can to prevent their access to our mailboxes.

When is new content added ?

New content is added as it happens or as it is submitted by others.

Why are there areas that don't show up on the page ?

Some content is fed onto the page from other sources.  I have discovered that some pop-up blockers will prevent parts and pieces of a page from loading.  For example, I have one computer running Windows ME and use AdSubtract, which does a great job of keeping the pop-up ads completely off my screen; however, I recently discovered that it will not allow my home page to load the news feed from WND.  If this is a problem for you, try enabling pop-ups for this website (you won't get any ads trying to sell you anything, promise!).  If you must, you can always block them again if it is a problem with other web pages on other sites.
