And away we go!

July 8, 2006: Myra enjoyed a full day of horse showing with Elizabeth and Elizabeth's best friend Taylor at the Lake Washington Saddle Club Hunter/Jumper Horse Show.  They shared "Magical Me" (aka Magic), with Elizabeth riding him in 6 classes and Taylor riding him in 2.  Taylor was supposed to ride Myra's Arabian Gelding, Mi Nazareth, but due to a last minute trailer ride issue they were unable to get Naz to the show for Taylor to ride.  Magic was a trooper though and had plenty of energy to carry them both through a wonderful day at the horse show!  Elizabeth earned several Blue Ribbons in some pretty large classes, and Taylor also earned a Blue Ribbon and a 3rd place!  GOOD JOB GIRLS!

Going to the horse show...Magical Me and Starbuck, Elizabeth's friend Bryanna's horse

Elizabeth & Magic earn a Blue Ribbon together in English Pleasure 10 & under!

Elizabeth & Magic's Blue Ribbon

And waiting...and waiting....for the results....

And the winner is....Elizabeth Rooney on Magical Me!

Look at the smile...

Ok, so I know they say the ribbons don't mean anything...but they sure do give you a proud feeling inside when you're holding the only blue out of 10!

Bryanna, Starbuck, Taylor, Magic and Elizabeth...contemplating the many mysteries of a horses's mind.

The contemplation continues, but Meg is giving some very observant input....ah, the mysteries of the horses mind continues!

And the winner is....Taylor on Magical Me! Guess the mystery is solved!

Good Job Taylor and Magic!

Starbuck and Bryanna going over 2'6", I'm no photographer, but looking good!

And over we go!

Sorry Bryanna, I tried hard to get just the right shot.... darn digital cameras!

Wow...now THIS is a family photo! This is a wonderfully sweet family that takes lessons with Elizabeth's trainer too. The parents are so supportive

If all fathers were this wonderful, the world's problems would probably be solved...look at these two, I love it!

And...did I mention what a great Mother he has too! Count your blessings Alex, your not only sitting on one, you're surrounded by them!

My philosophy is take a ton of pictures and never delete them even if they look almost exactly the same! :) ha...

Oh whatever! What kind of a cat was ever born as cute as this little princess...or prince... Sugar & Spice and everything nice has NOTHING on this little gem!

It's not how many ribbons you get at the show...it's that you stepped into the show ring at all that makes you a winner!

Putting her back # on actually does take 4 people.

Curious? Elizabeth is on the left, she has on "straps". These are required for show & help keep your leg from slipping around.

This is Elizabeth going into her 1st class. You can't tell, because someone walked right in front of me when I snapped. (argh!)

Elizabeth on Ashlee, the little white pony that could, can, and always will in the hearts of lots of little girls in Washington!

She's so blessed to have a mother with such photographic abilities!

Ring a round the rosey!

That's her on the very end, not very good pictures in this arena. I think the lights were flourecent, but they were lining up for placings here!

Discussing the class, getting a few pointers, and reminding the kids to use their blinkers. :)

Here we go, into the ring for her over poles class (over trot poles that is, poles flat on the ground).

In her trot poles class, surviving the poles....

Easy, easy, doing so well!

Making that final circle after going over all the poles...

Surviving....surviving....

SURVIVED her first trot poles class, PHEW! Good Job Elizabeth and Ashlee!

Cooling off the pony...and her mind!

One of the really neat things about all this is that Elizabeth and her best friend Taylor take lessons from the same trainer and got to show together!

How proud is this pony and rider team?!?

Pretty proud, and they should be! They did so well and had a great time!

MMMM!!! Are those TREATS in your hand!?!

Wow, long ride to the show, long day at the show. Little sister was a trooper but now she is one tired little girl! See you at home sissy!

Why you can't vote for Democrats

Democrats are Liberals and are  increasingly further and further to the left. But Liberalism is a Sin and here is a complete explanation of how.
